Saiful: Yes, many students fail in English every year.
Asif: Do you know why this happens?
Saiful: I think the main cause is weakness in grammar.
Asif: You are right. Without grammar, we cannot write or speak properly.
Saiful: Another reason is lack of practice. Students only read before exams.
Asif: Exactly. They memorize answers but do not learn the language.
Saiful: Many students also avoid English books, newspapers, and stories.
Asif: True. If we do not read, we cannot improve vocabulary.
Saiful: Some students feel shy to speak in English with others.

সাইফুল: ওয়ালাইকুম আসসালাম, আসিফ। আমি ভালো আছি। তুমি কেমন?
আসিফ: আমিও ভালো আছি। কিন্তু আমি আমাদের ইংরেজি ফলাফল নিয়ে চিন্তিত।
সাইফুল: হ্যাঁ, প্রতি বছর অনেক শিক্ষার্থী ইংরেজিতে ফেল করে।
আসিফ: তুমি জানো কেন এমন হয়?
সাইফুল: আমার মনে হয় প্রধান কারণ হলো ব্যাকরণে দুর্বলতা।
আসিফ: ঠিক বলেছো। ব্যাকরণ না জানলে লেখা বা কথা বলা যায় না।
সাইফুল: আরেকটা কারণ হলো চর্চার অভাব। শিক্ষার্থীরা শুধু পরীক্ষার আগে পড়ে।
আসিফ: হ্যাঁ, তারা মুখস্থ করে কিন্তু ভাষা শেখে না।
সাইফুল: অনেক শিক্ষার্থী ইংরেজি বই, পত্রিকা বা গল্প এড়িয়ে চলে।
আসিফ: সত্যি। না পড়লে শব্দভান্ডার বাড়ানো যায় না।
সাইফুল: কেউ কেউ আবার ইংরেজিতে কথা বলতে লজ্জা পায়।
আসিফ: হ্যাঁ, ভয় আর সংকোচও বড় বাধা।
সাইফুল: শিক্ষকরা-ও প্রতিটি ছাত্রকে আলাদা করে সময় দিতে পারেন না।
আসিফ: ঠিক বলেছো। বড় ক্লাসে সবাইকে শেখানো কঠিন।
সাইফুল: আরেকটা কারণ হলো গাইড বইয়ের উপর নির্ভরশীলতা।
আসিফ: হ্যাঁ, গাইড বই শুধু তৈরি উত্তর দেয়, আসল জ্ঞান দেয় না।
সাইফুল: তাহলে আমরা কীভাবে এই সমস্যা কাটিয়ে উঠতে পারি?
আসিফ: আমাদের প্রতিদিন ইংরেজি পড়া আর ছোট লেখা চর্চা করা উচিত।
সাইফুল: আর বন্ধুদের সাথে ইংরেজিতে কথা বলার চেষ্টা করা দরকার।
আসিফ: শিক্ষকদেরও ধাপে ধাপে শেখানোর উৎসাহ দেওয়া উচিত।
সাইফুল: পরিশ্রম করলে আমরা অবশ্যই ইংরেজিতে ভালো করতে পারবো।
